Experimentation and innovation are, as in the lab, encouraged. We welcome emerging and established writers alike.
Submission Guidelines
Stemlit is currently OPEN for submissions. The deadline for the current reading period is August 31, 2026.
Email submissions to stemlitreview@gmail.com.
We currently accept submissions of poetry, visual art, and hybrid work. However, we aim to expand to include fiction and creative nonfiction in the future.
Submit up to 5 poems, pieces of visual art or hybrid work in a single document, alongside a brief cover note and author bio.
We aim to respond within 30 days.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but we ask that you inform us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere (congratulations!).
Please submit previously unpublished work only.
If you believe a previously published piece is an exceptional fit for Stemlit, please contact us at stemlitmag@gmail.com before submitting.
We do not accept AI-generated submissions.
Stemlit reserves first serial rights and nonexclusive electronic archival rights. Copyright reverts to the author upon publication.
We ask any subsequent reprints credit Stemlit as the original publisher.
